Finding Clarity in the Climb: Career Lessons from the Early Hustle

A couple years ago, I had no idea I’d be cold calling, studying for the LSAT, and thinking about how storytelling and influence connect across industries. But here we are and that is why I created this blog. From sales calls and demo bookings to law school dreams and everything in between. If you’re on your own path of figuring things out, I hope this helps you feel less alone. To get you kind of into a glimpse of my life at the moment right now, I’m working in sales, making hundreds of calls a week, and learning firsthand what it means to earn someone’s trust in under 30 seconds. At the same time, I’m studying for the LSAT and figuring out how to stay focused when the future feels big and uncertain. Some days I feel on top of it others, I feel like I’m just figuring it out as I go. And that’s okay. This blog is for anyone trying to build something whether that’s a career, a dream, or just a better version of themselves. I’ll be sharing what I learn (and unlearn) along the way, from personal growth to productivity tips to real stories from the path I’m on. At the heart of it all, my dream is to become a lawyer. I’ve always been drawn to advocacy and I have never wanted something more in my life. I have realized that dreams don’t happen without discipline, so I would say in the past year, I’ve been pushing myself to build structure, stay focused, and grow in all areas of life. Heading into the new year, I also made a commitment to take better care of myself physically, mentally, and professionally. That’s meant setting aside consistent time for LSAT study, staying active, improving my diet, and holding myself accountable in ways I hadn’t before. It’s been challenging, but it’s also been empowering.

Alongside all of this, I recently started a sales internship and even in these early weeks, it’s been such a powerful learning experience. I have been making hundreds of cold calls each week to sitting in on strategy sessions and navigating follow-ups (which are SO CRUCIAL), I’ve already gained a deep appreciation for what it really takes to communicate effectively and build trust with complete strangers. I’m enjoying the challenge, the fast pace environment, the need to think on your feet, and the constant feedback that comes from real-world interaction. It’s teaching me how to handle rejection with composure, how to read people quickly, and how to stay focused even when outcomes are uncertain. These are lessons I know will serve me not just in sales, but in law school, and whatever path I take beyond that.

Lately, I’ve also been intentional about taking better care of my mind and body. I’ve been incorporating the sauna and cold plunge into my routine at least five days a week not just for recovery, but to help reset mentally which I think is so important in this digital age. It’s become a way to clear my head, reduce stress, and stay grounded before diving into the demands of sales outreach or LSAT prep. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned and something that’s made a real difference is the importance of prioritizing sleep and the basic daily necessities that often get overlooked. Hydration, movement, rest, and mental clarity aren’t just “nice to have” they’re crucial. They’ve helped me show up consistently and give 110% to both my internship and my studying, even on the days that feel tough.

Thanks for reading, and I really hope this resonates with someone who’s also figuring things out whether that’s in school, starting a career, or just trying to stay consistent every day. I’m still early in my journey, but I wanted to create a space to share what I’m learning as I go. The good, the bad, and everything in between!

This blog isn’t about having all the answers it’s about showing up, being real, and putting in the work. If anything I share here helps even one person feel more motivated or less alone, then I’m glad I wrote it.

Appreciate you being here and I’m excited to keep building from here, one step at a time.
